OPTOCHAIN - Serially connecting the OPTOEDGE

Beginning in the 4th Quarter of 2007, VITECTOR GmbH will introduce the OPTOCHAIN for the European market.

Application

In order to safeguard edges in gate applications, there used to be an associated significant increase in cost. This is especially true in carousel and sliding doors where there are many leading edges both moving and not. With the OPTOCHAIN, it is possible to combine the signals from a number of OPTOEDGEs into a single channel.

Description

The OPTOCHAIN was developed to reduce the cabling costs when connecting multiple optical safety edges to a minimum. From just one sensing edge, more sensing edges can be added. The dynamic signal security will be achieved by a master edge that will activate if any edge on the chain is obstructed. Therefore, this makes it possible for a singular signal analysis.
