The Product
The diagnostic unit OSE-A 1010 was developed to check the operating conditions of an original VITECTOR OSE safety edge. It unites a compact size, a simple operation procedure and a quick application with installed doors as well as with the manufacturing process in the factory.
Function
Due to the direct readout of the results the user can react and arrange the next steps at the industrial door. Thus the diagnostic unit provides cost and time savings during maintenance and installation of a door. The usage is possible with all door controls with integrated Fraba interface and with all external Fraba OSE control units.
The diagnostic unit is connected between the safety edge and the door control, preferable at the junction box or at the connection terminals at the door control. If an external Fraba OSE control unit is used, it is connected between this unit and the safety edge. The result of the diagnostic is indicated at a display then.The complete system of the safety edge can be checked with three different diagnostic modes. On the one hand the OSE release signal is interrupted to check if the door control / OSE control unit reacts properly. Furthermore the received signals from the transmitter and the receiver are analyzed. This yields conclusions about issues like broken or faulty connected cables. Finally, the required transmitter power is displayed. With this information it is possible to evaluate the quality and the condition of the rubber profile at the door, especially at older doors or if the lower section is damaged. For that purpose reference values for different rubber profile types and lengths are available. By combining these different diagnostic functions during the cyclic door maintenance, possible failures due to a damaged rubber profile can be avoided
